Actually…

I take back what I said in my last blog:

On average, after high school, a person only stays in contact with five of their closest friends.  In life friends come and go. I must get to picking the best out of the group.  But then again, I have to work on getting better friends.

During demanding times of our lives, we forget how to make time to appreciate those around us.  We focus more on the overwhelming negative aspects when the positive aspects of our lives seem nonexistent.  I’m blessed to have friends who I see every day or every once in a while that consistently express their gratitude for my role in their lives.  Even if I observe a flaw in my friend(s), I must acknowledge that not everyone can live up to our misconstrued perceptions of perfection. To a certain extent, the flaws we see in others are the flaws we see in ourselves.  Perhaps I need to focus on being a better friend and person.

Note to self: If the friend is totally (excuse my lack of a better term) corrupt, then dispose of them! If they are not being a good friend, then you need not to consider them a friend at all!
